When working with Athena, it is important to ensure that you have authorized the necessary consent for Rivet to avoid working on claims that are already being worked on by Athena automatically. To achieve this, we interface with Athena to pull their primary payer statuses. Authorizing Athena Marketplace consent for Rivet
1. Authorizing Athena Marketplace consent for Rivet
To authorize Athena Marketplace consent for Rivet, follow these steps:
Log in to Athena and go to the "My Account" page.
Click on the "Marketplace" tab and select "Athena Marketplace".
Follow the prompts to authorize the necessary consent for Rivet to access your Athena Marketplace account.
2. Moving Athena statuses off of your worklists
To avoid working on claims that are already being worked on by Athena automatically, you can create an automation to set a status for these claims.
Create an automation to move claims into a status:
Create a new payment issue example: Athena Hold
Create an automation Rule based on the Athena status
Save your automation rule to automate setting this rule.
Please note that Athena statuses are not updated in real-time in Rivet. Claims whose status has not changed since we introduced this feature will not have an Athena status in Rivet. Additionally, changing a Rivet status does not change an Athena status.
Syncing Rivet statuses with Athena statuses
3. Syncing Rivet statuses with Athena statuses
To sync Rivet statuses with Athena statuses, follow these steps:
Create a Rivet status called "Athena hold".
Create an automation that assigns your chosen Athena statuses to the Rivet status you created above.
This will remove Athena hold claims from your team's default (detected) work lists.
By following these steps, you can ensure that Rivet is synced with Athena and that you are not working on claims that are already being worked on by Athena. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to chat in or send an email to support@rivethealth.com.
