Learn how to Attach portal links, policies, forms, and contacts to a payer.

Updated over a week ago

When working on a denial for a specific payer, it can be helpful to have access to all relevant resources such as portal links, policies, forms, and contacts in one place. In this article, we will show you how to show these resources on all denials belonging to a single payer when they aren’t limited to specific types of denials.

1. From a specific denial

1. Click on a specific denial in your worklist. From the denial click on the Appeal assistance button.

2. This will open the Appeal assistance modal. Click on Edit payer info on the bottom left.

3. To add a portal link for a payer, type in a custom URL in the Portal URL field on the Edit payer window.

4. To attach an existing policy, contact, or form, in the Edit payer window select the resource you'd like to attach from the respective dropdown. You can also create a new policy, contact or form.

5. Click Submit and you will see the resources you added on all historical and future denials related to that payer.

2. From the payer page

1. From the top menu of the homepage, click Account resources. Then click All payers from the dropdown menu.

2. Use the search bar to search for the specific payer you would like to create a policy, form, or contact for. Click on that payer.

3. Depending on the type of resource you would like to create, click on the Contacts, Policies, or Forms tab.

4. To add a new contact, navigate to the Contacts page and click the Create contact button.

5. Fill out the information for the contact and check the box next to “Show this contact on all denials...?” at the bottom of the window. Click Submit and you will see that contact on all denials belonging to the payer.

By following the steps above, you can easily attach and show resources like portal links, policies, forms, and contacts on all denials belonging to a single payer. This will streamline your workflow and ensure that you have all the relevant resources in one place when working on a denial.
