1. Finding and Adding Patients

To locate or add a patient to your account Navigate to Estimates > Patients at the top of Rivet:

  • The patient page lists all patients added to the account.

  • Add patients manually using the Create Patient button, bulk upload via the Upload CSV button, or set up an integration to bring patient data from other systems.

  • You can also export all patients from this page.

Patient Profile Overview

Each patient profile comprises four main tabs:

  • Communication

  • Info

  • Eligibility

  • Estimates

2. Communication Management

The Communication tab includes:

  • A history of communications sent to the patient, including SMS or email estimates.

  • Access to the initial consent message for PHI (Protected Health Information) sharing.

  • A feature to add or view notes for a patient.

3. Patient Information Details

Under the Info tab, you'll find:

  • First name: required

  • last name: required

  • Birthdate: required

  • last 4 of the social

  • Email: required to email an estimate

  • Mobile number: required to send an estimate via sms

  • Phone number: optional

  • Fax number: optional

  • Address: Optional

  • EHR ID: unique patient identifier

  • REF: unique patient identifier from an integration (typically is the same as the ehr id)

  • Namespace: specific integration name the patient came from

  • Insurance product name: Example Blue Cross Blue Shield commercial

  • Subscriber ID: unique patient identifier for their insurance

  • Order of insurance: The order in which the patient’s insurance should apply primary secondary teritiary+

4. Handling Eligibility

The Eligibility tab allows you to:

View any eligibility checks conducted for the patient.

Perform new eligibility checks as needed.

5. Managing Estimates

In the Estimates tab, you can:

See a list of estimates created for a patient

  • Create new estimates.

  • Process additional payments

  • resend estimates

  • create co-provider estimate requests

  • modify estimates using the options provided
