Learn how to setup payments for estimates within Rivet.

Updated over a week ago

Providing patients with flexible payment options can increase revenue for healthcare practices. Rivet has partnered with Open Edge Pay to offer HIPAA-compliant text and email payment requests. This article explains how to sign up for Rivet Payments and start collecting payments from patients.

Sign Up for Rivet Payments

Existing Rivet customers can sign up for Rivet Payments at any time by emailing success@rivethealth.com. Rivet's Customer Success Managers will assist in getting started with collecting payments from patients through HIPAA-compliant text or email using Open Edge Pay.

Required Information

To start the sign-up process for Rivet Payments, customers will need to provide the following information:

  • Merchant Name

  • Bank routing information where the funds will be deposited

  • Authorized signer

  • Sale profile

  • A voided check to attach to the application

Application Process

After providing the necessary information, fill out the attached New_Global Payments Merchant Application.pdf form and email it back to the Success Manager or Implementation Manager working with you. Rivet's payment processor will then start the application process, which should take only a few days to complete.

Once the application is processed, the merchant will send a signature request to the authorized signer on the application. After it is filed, Rivet will create the account, set up the office to receive payments, and you can start using Rivet Payments to request payments from patients through HIPAA-compliant text or email.

Rivet Payments and Open Edge Pay provide healthcare practices with an easy and secure way to request payments from patients through HIPAA-compliant text or email.
