Track denial recoveries using automatic status changes

Learn how to track denial recoveries in Rivet using automatic status changes and recovered amounts.

Updated over a week ago

This article explains how Rivet automatically updates a denial status to “recovered” when a payment is received, and how to discover and view the recovered amounts. By using the chronological and itemized claim views, you can see the sequence of a claim and remit transactions that led to the recovered amount.

1. Recovered Definition

Rivet will automatically detect resolved denials and move them to the Recovered Status when there is a positive payer payment or patient responsibility amount on a subsequent remit.

2. Discover Recovered Amounts

When a denial has a recovered dollar amount, you'll be able to see that amount in the Recovered Status and the line item's detail page.

3. Source of recovery

Use the chronological and itemized claim views accessible from the View claim button to see the sequence of claim and remit transactions that led to the recovered amount.
