Mapping a fee schedule with a Provider or Locality Rule

Learn how to map a fee schedule by provider or locality

Occasionally, you may need to map a fee schedule with a provider or locality rule to apply the correct rules. In this article, we will go over the steps to map a fee schedule with a locality or provider rule in Rivet.

  1. First, click on Account Resources from the homepage and select All Payers from the drop-down.

  2. Choose the payer you want to update.

  3. Click on the Schedule Mapping tab.

  4. Click on Add rule.

  5. Click on Select a new filter.

  6. From the dropdown click on Locality.

  7. Click on the Select values dropdown on the right to pick a locality. For this example, we'll choose "ATLANTA, GEORGIA".

  8. Click the Select dropdown on the Schedule column and select the fee schedule that you want to apply in this case.

  9. Click on Save to save and apply your changes.

To map a provider rule navigate to the fee schedule mapping page following steps 1-5 as listed above.

  1. Click on Select new filter.

  2. In the dropdown, click on Provider.

  3. On the dropdown to the left of Select new filter, click on Select values.

  4. In the dropdown, select a specific provider. There's no need to create multiple rules for each of the providers, just select "Contains" in the filter, and then select all the providers for which you'd like to make the rule.

  5. In the next dropdown on the right, select the fee schedule to map to.

  6. Click on Save to save the rule.

  7. You can also map by Insurance product, locality, CBSA, Credential group, place of service, patient age, or zip code.
