Rivet utilizes 835s and 837s (claims and remits) to pull in denied or underpaid claims. If you are reading this article it means that you have access to these raw files to push them to Rivet’s SFTP. Rivet partners with a software vendor called Syncovery to deliver data files through an automated SFTP upload securely. This allows the application to be kept current with no additional work.
What is needed: Identifying the specific network folder or directory that contains the 835/837 EDI/ERA data files in their raw format. These can be found as .txt, .rmt, .835, .837 or other formats.
Navigate to https://www.syncovery.com/
Download the correct file version for your system:
Once downloaded, open the Syncovery program
Click on Perform a synchronization or backup now
5. The left-hand side will be the file or folder location on the local network
6. Press the Choose button and then navigate to the location of the files
7. The right-hand side will be the Rivet hosted SFTP location
8. Press the earth/globe icon adjacent to the choose button
9. On the settings tab, change the Protocol to SSH/SFTP
10. Enter sftp://sftp.rivethealth.com in the URL field
11. Enter 22 in the Port Number field
12. No Folder is needed
13. Enter the User ID and Password provided by the Rivet onboarding or Support team
a. If there are questions about User ID or Passwords please contact support@rivethealth.com
14. Make sure that Save User ID, Save Password and Allow IPV6 are all enabled
15. Once the screen matches the above (with a customer User ID and password), click OK. Copy synchronization “Left To Right”
16. Click on Next to proceed to the next screen
17. Choose Sync modes
a. Sync operation= Standard Copying
b. Check the box for detect if files have been moved
i. Sub-select Right-Hand Side
ii. Click next to proceed to the next screen
19. Choose File Types
a. Masks to synchronize = (all)
b. Masks to exclude = (none)
c. Click next to proceed to the next screen
20. Specify Timer Settings
a. Check the box next to schedule this profile
b. Check the box for Run every input 60 minutes
c. Click next to proceed to the next screen
21. Save and Run Profile
a. This is free text and can be named as desired
b. Rivet recommends naming the 835 import something to signify it is and 835 import as well as a corresponding 837 import name
c. Click save/ run button
22. This will start a process to try and connect to Rivet’s SFTP. Once complete, the synchronization preview screen will pop open.Be sure to click the click to Start button in the lower left hand corner to commence the initial job run.
You now know to set up Syncovery on your local network in order to automatically sync raw 835s and 837s to Rivet’s SFTP.
