Your time is important, and Rivet makes it easy to upload patient demographic information in one batch. If your practice already makes use of a spreadsheet containing insurance information, patient name, DOB, and other relevant information; this is an optimal method for adding patient demographic information to Rivet to make estimate creation and eligibility checks easy.
If you have a spreadsheet containing insurance information, patient name, DOB, and other relevant information, you can add patient demographic information to Rivet in one batch. Here's how to do it.
Formatting the CSV file
First, check that the file contains all relevant patient demographic fields. Then, ensure that the following is true:
At most, one row at the top of the spreadsheet indicates what each column represents.
The file contains one sheet maximum. If there are multiple sheets in the file, Rivet will only pull information from the first sheet.
Uploading the CSV to Rivet:
To upload the CSV file, navigate to the Rivet home screen and click on the 'Patient' box.
At the top right, click on the 'Upload CSV' button.
In the resulting modal, click anywhere in the main space to select the relevant patient demographic spreadsheet from your computer files. After selecting the file, click 'Open' and the selected file will populate in the modal.
Once your file has been dropped in the modal, hit the 'Next' button in the bottom right-hand corner.
Rivet will automatically assign CSV columns, but double-check that values are matched appropriately. If necessary, you can remove a match by clicking the 'x' on the right-hand side of the specific purple box and drag the appropriate purple box to the correct field.
Once all fields have been verified, select 'Next' in the bottom right corner.
From this screen, select 'Import' in the bottom left corner to upload to Rivet and have information pull through.
