Understanding Rivet's Contract Terms Page

Access and navigate the Contract Terms page in Rivet, where you can view all the contracts and their terms.

Updated over a week ago

The Contract Terms page in Rivet provides an easy-to-use interface to view all of your contracts and their terms. Rivet's Data Specialist team extracts key terms from your contract file and enters them into your account, allowing you to quickly identify important information like timely filing, clean claim payment window, and back-out penalty. This article explains how to access the Contract Terms page, customize your view, and download all of your data.

How do we get the information?

The Rivet Data Specialist team goes through each contract file that is uploaded to your Rivet account.

  • They search through the contract to pull out key terms and enter them into your account. Because these terms are pulled right from your contract each contract in Rivet is specific to your practice and your contracts.

What kind of information?

The table will display various terms, including:

  • Name of Contract

  • Payer Name

  • Status

  • Effective Date

  • Expiration Date

  • Renewal Start Date

  • Renewal End Date

  • Timely Filing

  • Claim Review

  • Appeal Window

  • Clean Claim Payment Window

  • Change Notification Period

  • Auto-Renewal

  • Lesser-of Clause

  • Negotiate Outside Window

  • Back-Out Penalty

  • Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA)

  • Clean Claim Interest Penalty

How to Get to the Contract Terms Page

To get to the Contract Terms page, go to Contract evaluation tab, then select Contract terms

Contract Options

On the left side of the table, you will see three options for how to see your contracts.

  • You can choose All Contracts, Active Contracts, and Inactive Contracts. By selecting one of these options, you will filter the table to show the kind of contract you selected.

Below those is a drop-down menu that allows you to select one or more payers to separate from the rest of your payers. You can select as many or as little as you want.

In the upper right-hand corner, there is a search bar that allows you to search for an individual contract plan.

Next to that, is a dropdown menu that allows you to totally customize how your table looks.

By unclicking the checkmark, you will remove the entire column from your view. To bring it back, just check the box again and it will reappear.

You can also organize the order of the columns by selecting the two bars on each column title. Then, you can click and drag to reorder. If you would like the columns to stay in the new order you just made, be sure to click the pin to make it purple. That will save your view.

Payers Page

When you click one of the contracts in the table, it will redirect you to that Payers Page in Rivet, allowing you to view more details and make changes if needed.

You can download all your data by clicking the download button in the upper right-hand corner. Rivet will then put all of this data into a CSV.
