The Category page in your account settings allows you to map adjustment codes on claims to specific categories, enabling you to filter your worklist by a particular subsection of adjustment codes. This article will guide you through accessing the category settings, understanding the denial categories table, searching for categories, restoring default settings, and editing categories. By the end, you'll be able to efficiently manage your adjustment codes.
1. Accessing Category Settings
To apply categories to adjustment codes, navigate to Account settings Settings > Categories. This section allows you to manage how adjustment codes are organized and filtered.
2. Understanding the Categories Table
The Categories table consists of three columns:
Adjustment Code: The code used for the adjustment.
Description: A brief description of the adjustment code.
Category: The category assigned to the adjustment code.
3. Searching for Categories
You can search for different types of categories by using the search bar on the page. Enter the description of the category you're looking for to filter the results.
4. Restoring Default Categories
Restoring defaults will revert all adjustment codes and associated line items to Rivet's default categories. This action will impact all past and present denials and delete any custom categories you've created. Use this option if you need to reset your categorization to the default settings.
