Saved views

Views let you jump into a filtered view without having to select the same filter criteria each time

Updated today

Views allow you to save custom filters and column orders, so you can access them in the future with a single click instead of having to recreate those data parameters each time.

What can you save to a view?

All actions below can be formally saved to a view:

  • Adding, deleting, or editing a filter

  • Reordering columns

  • Showing/hiding columns

  • Sorting columns

  • Freezing/unfreezing columns

  • Resizing columns

  • Changing the table view by from claims to line items or vice versa

  • Toggling grouping on or off (only applies to the Denials worklist)

Creating a new view

Using the Save as function

From the All view or any other view, add your filters and column preferences and then click the Save as button in the upper right corner. Give your new view a name, set your permissions, and click Save.

Duplicating a view

To duplicate a view, click into the view you'd like to duplicate and then click on the tab header once again. This will open a menu from which you'll see Duplicate view. Clicking that will duplicate the tab, where you can rename and set permissions for it.

Updating & resetting an existing view

Saving filter, column, and table changes

From any view except the All view, make whatever changes you'd like and then click the Save button in the upper right corner. This button will be enabled when you have changes you can update the view with.

Saving any of these changes will propagate those changes to the view for anyone who has access to it. If you're on a private view, only you will see that view and any changes that were saved to it. If you're on a shared or public view, saving changes to that view will push those changes to anyone who has access to it and clicks into it.

Resetting a view

If you don't want to formally save a column configuration change to a view, you don't have to. You can always forgo clicking the Save button. Your browser will remember your changes up until you clear your cache.

You can also always reset the view to its prior configuration by clicking Reset view in the upper right next to the Save and Save as buttons.

Renaming and editing permissions of a view

To rename a view, click into the view you'd like to rename and then click on the tab header once again. This will open a menu from which you'll see Rename view. Clicking that will open a modal from which you can rename the view.

To edit permission for a view, click into the view you'd like to rename and then click on the tab header once again. This will open a menu from which you'll see Edit view. Clicking that will open a modal from which you can change the permissions for the view.

If you change permissions for a Public or Shared view to Private, that will cause that view to disappear from the worklist of anyone who previously had access to it.

Deleting a view

To delete a view, click into the view you'd like to delete and then click on the tab header once again. This will open a menu from which you'll see Delete view. Clicking that will open a confirmation modal from which you can permanently delete the view.

If you delete a view that had been Public or Shared, that will also delete the view from the worklist of anyone who previously had access to it.

Permissions of views

You have three levels of permissions when it comes to views:

  • Private: these views and any associated changes to them are only visible to you

  • Public: these views and any associated changes to them are visible to and editable by every person at your organization who has access to the worklist in Rivet where the view lives

  • Shared: these views and any associated changes to them are visible to and editable by any person who has been invited to the view

Managing your views

Reordering views

You can reorder views in two ways:

  • Drag and drop your visible views by hovering over a view, clicking it, and dragging it to your desired position

  • If you have an overflow menu because you have more visible tabs than your screen size supports, you can click into the overflow view list and reorder your views from there through the same drag and drop pattern

Showing and hiding views

Similar to how you can show and hide columns in your tables, you can also show and hide views. This allows you to have every view accessible at any time, but also to keep your list of tabs simple and organized.

  • You can hide a view directly from the tab by clicking on the tab and then clicking Hide tab

  • You can also hide or show views by clicking All views on the far right side of your list of tabs and then clicking the πŸ‘οΈ icon next to the view you'd like to show or hide

Overflow list of views

When you have more views marked as visible than can show up on your screen size, you'll see an overflow tab that lists the number of additional views you have. Clicking that will open a list of all of your views.

From there, you can open any view by clicking on it, edit your views by clicking the three dot options menu, or rearrange the order of your tabs by dragging and dropping with the six dot pattern on the left of every view name.
