Learn how to update and/or add a provider/providers to the Provider Table in Rivet

The Provider Table equips the Rivet platform with all of the knowledge it needs to know about your providers to perform for you. It gives Rivet the ability to correctly apply any special rules and/or logic that might be required. It is important to keep an eye on ensuring that the provider list stays complete. This article walks you through, step-by-step, how to add a provider if they are missing, how to add a list of providers, and how to update or complete a provider’s data.

1. Navigating to your Provider Table

In order to get to the Provider Table in Rivet you will need to:

  1. Click on your account name in the upper right-hand corner.

  2. Click on "Account Settings”

  3. Find the menu on the left-hand side under “Account” click on “Providers”..

2. Edit a provider

If you find that a provider is missing data you will need to add it. If the provider has incorrect data such as an incorrect credential you can edit it.

  1. Click on the (...) edit ellipses at the end of the provider's row (on the far right side of the page).

  2. Next, you will need to click "Edit".

  3. Click on the radio button next to "Custom" above the area that you need to update.

  4. Here you will add your updated information in the now white (editable) box.

  5. Click on "Edit provider" to save your progress.

3. Add a provider

Adding a provider: If you find that a provider is missing from the table.

  1. Click on "+Create provider".

  2. Type the NPI of the missing provider in the “NPI” box.

  3. Click "Create provider" on the bottom left. This will save and pull in the provider's data from NPPES.

4. Adding a list of providers

  1. Click on "Add providers".

  2. Add all applicable NPIs in the box (you can copy and paste). Select the NPI type by clicking on the radio button for either Specialist or Primary.

  3. Click on "Submit" to save and pull in all of the provider's data from NPPES.
